The plane projection of the roof structure of the National Stadium is elliptical, with a long axis of 333m and a short axis of 290m.The top surfaceis a relatively flat saddle surface.The opening of the stadium roof is approximately eliptical, composed of two elliptical and two circular arc segments.The membrane structure of the stadium roof can be divided into roof waterproofing membrane and acoustic ceiling membrane.The roof waterproof membrane structure adopts a single-layer ETFE membrane material, consisting of approximately 1024 membrane units, with a total area of approximately 42000 square meters, arranged in a relatively flat roof andlocal areas at the corners of the rooffacade.
The acoustic ceiling is composed of three parts: the lower acoustic ceiling membrane, the grandstand acoustic ceiling membrane, and the inner ring facial mask.It is composed of about 1044 membrane units, with a total area of about 53000 square meters.ltis made of single-layer PTFE membrane materials, suspended under the lower chord of the main truss and the roof substructure(the lower acoustic ceiling membrane),and extends downward from the rear of the upper grandstand(the grandstand acoustic ceiling membrane).The innerring truss facade ofthe roof opening is made of waterproof PTFE membrane(the innerringfacial mask).
