Wuhu Olympic Sports Center

Wuhu Olympic Sports Center is located in Yijiang District, Wuhu City

in order to meet the 2002 Anhui Province Ten Games

and carefully built to the connotation of sports culture, sports competitions for the standard

to the content of the modern sports park for fitness for all

the government invested 670 million yuan construction of Wuhu City, the city of Wuhu City

is one of the image of the city’s external projects,but also Wuhu can host large-scale cultural performances, international and domestic comprehensive events, new integrated venues.

The center has a total land acquisition area of 30.8 hectares, a total construction area of 113,627 square meters

and mainly consists of one stadium and one center, i.e.

the main stadium with a capacity of 40,000 people,

a comprehensive gymnasium for 5,500 people,

a shooting center with a target position of 10 meters to 50 meters,

and part of the external environmental greening and landscaping.

The total construction plane of the stadium project is asymmetrical oval,with a total area of 100,000 square meters and a total construction area of 45,000 square meters.

The asymmetrical grandstand design is rare in the world, making the 69-meter-high elevation even more grand and spectacular.

The main structure of the grandstand adopts inclined reinforced concrete frame system

the grandstand canopy is a steel tube truss suspension membrane structure

and there are various functional rooms for sports and commercial rooms under the grandstand.

The main stadium can meet the requirements for holding international individual and national competitions:

the venue has a standard track and field with a 400-meter plastic runway(8 curved lanes and 10 straight lanes),

a standard soccer field with a 68×105-meter natural turf field,

and corresponding lighting and broadcasting and sound reinforcement systems,

and 42,000 spectators of which 408 are in the president’s podium,

51 are in the seats for the disabled, and 102 are in the seats for the press.

Large electronic display screen and novel shape of the ignition platform were set up in the north and south stands at the center axis of the ground

under the stands are equipped with a variety of functional services for the game and commercial premises;

stadium surrounded by different sizes and forms of plaza,

not only to facilitate the distribution of the flow of people at the time of the game,

but also usually the public recreation plaza.
